I didn't either... but mainly because I had forgotten where he was even playing.

Let the speculation begin. Off the top of my head I'm thinking Bruins and Lightning would be nice fits. But maybe Edmonton or another non playoff bound team grabs him in hopes of turning him around again come deadline day?

Has not worked out at all in LA. Did Sutter not like him? Can't believe Ehrhoff dropped off so quickly. He definitely needs a change a scenery.

Exactly. Although I do remember threads to add him when he signed with the Kings. Silly people.

I am of the same mind in regards to always thinking someone gets claimed and then they clear. This one might be different though. He's cheap and experienced, even if he's sucked this year in LA. There's a few teams out there he could probably help. Someone like Vancouver maybe, who look like they are about to lose Edler for a bit. Montreal maybe?

At this point in the season, I dont see teams like Columbus, Toronto or even Edmonton wasting their time with him.

Teams would rather send a useless minor-league body (or Tinordi) for the player in a trade than claim him on waivers.

Didn’t Vancouver get a rash of injury news today? Which means he’ll clear…

Vancouver has zero cap space - Sutter and Edler are now going to IR - sutter broken jaw. which clears space but not sure how long. I would think they want to create cap space for the trade deadline not take on a guy who went from
    zero to hero to zero.

He will get claimed. Could see NJD, Edm, or Columbus taking a spin.

On another note General Fanager is a great site for cap info. Erfoff is just 1.5m, low risk and UFA

Brayden McNabb's emergence pretty much sealed Ehrhoff's doom in LA. He wont be claimed. Better players than Ehrhoff have been unclaimed this year so I see no reason why anyone will waste a roster spot.

True. I am just thinking about how the best years of his career were spent in Vancouver and if Edler is going to miss any significant time, he would be a decent replacement.

Lots of teams can use him. Vancouver, for sure. Half way through a one year deal at 1.5 million, makes sense to me. Which is why I will agree with everyone else and say he clears.
