How you ask...by giving up RyJo.


Yes, RyJo for Crosby. It's not as lopsided as it seems, since RyJo is a keeper, and Crosby isn't eligible but it's still pretty ridiculous.

Unfotunately, it's one of the GMs I'm battling for first with.

I've just thrown out an offer for Kopitar, and debating offering one for Getzlaf (not sure if he'll pick it up).

Any other surging 2nd half players you guys can think of?

Joe Thornton has been monstrous in the last couple weeks and he doesn't cost a lot to acquire either.

How is the team acquiring RyJo doing?

He's a PPG player in Nashville so far, why should he lose Crosby for nothing? If the guy trading away Crosby isn't making a run this year, then Sid is only as valuable as the best keeper he can get in return for him.

You've got a good point - That team is pretty much out of contention, so it does make sense.

Funny you mention that. The team that just acquired RyJo wanted him as a replacement for Thorton as a Keeper. I'd go for Thornton...but I already have Pavelski, Couture, and Burns. Don't know if it's a good idea to put all my eggs in that basket.

Seems like a decent trade to me. He couldn't keep crosby so might as well get something.

I'm in a similar league to yours and that's a perfectly rational trade.

Guy in 1st gets Crosby for the rest of the season.
Guy near the bottom gets RyJo next season (instead of nothing).
Crosby is obviously one of the top players the rest of the way and given your keeper rules I'd guess RyJo is one of the top-5 keepers out there.

Now for your counter. Given your signature I'd be tempted to dangle Draisaitl, Klingberg and Ghost to guys out of the running for their 1st/2nd forward.
