I'm pretty sure he knew about DeAngelo's character prior to drafting him. However, in Drouin's case, unless you go back to his early years and even then, I don't think there has been any instances when he wasn't one of/the centerpiece(s) of his team. The problem in Tampa is that he isn't getting that treatement... I don't know the full details of what goes on behind closed doors so this is simply an opinion. I quoted both of you guys since I felt I had a view that kinda fell in between both of yours.

Even more under the radar thana all those guys is Ziyat Paigin, a 6'6 offensive defenseman picked in the 7th round who can skate very well. 26 points in 35 games as a 21 year old and (pretty unheard of and tough production even for a forward that age). Booming shot and played in KHL all star game.

Jake wallman for the blues is also having an amazing year right now

I like Ceci and he'll probably get a bump, but he's not under-the-radar and I think his offensive upside is semi-limited. Meaning, he could be a very solid producer one day, but I don't see potential high-end digits.

I've heard a little bit about this guy. Very interesting dude for sure. I will be keeping an eye on him.

I think a lesser known/sleeper pick would be Matheson on Florida, could step into the top PP unit potentially with Ekblad.

Yep, good call on Matheson. Two summers ago Matheson was one of my favorite "next wave" guys. I've cooled just a little... but I still think he could be a very good one. And, like you said, he could step into a golden situation.

I don't think names like Provorov and Werenski belong in a "next Gostisbehere" thread. Gostisbehere was arguably under the radar until 2014 - top 10 picks don't reflect that at all.

As an owner I'm biased but I loved the mention of Jake Walman, he fits the description perfectly.

Matt Grzelcyk is a name to keep an eye on too.
