Default Box pool - 37th/82000+ - need serious advice

    Box pool from RDS.
Currently 37th out of 82000+. Climbing slowly but steady.
Only 3 moves left: Feb 8th, Feb 29th and Mar 21st.
    Points only.
Here are the boxes that I can see an improvement. Need to find the best.

2- Seguin vs Voracek, Giroux, Stamkos
5- Turris vs Stone, Hoffman, Ryan, Zibanejad
    6- Tarasenko vs Pevelski
    7- Backstrom vs McDavid
    8- Gaudreau vs Kuznetzov
    9- Panarin vs Eichel, Ehlers
10- Oshie vs O'Reilly, Sharp, Saad
    11- Kessel vs Hall, Kopitar
14- Okposo vs Neal, Dubinsky, Krejci, EKane
    21- Holtby vs Fleury
24- STL vs ANA, CHI, LA

    Next move for this Monday.
Wich one would you make first and after that, you would keep an eye on wich ones?

    Some general notes:
    1. The hardest spots to jump will be the teams at the top. If you are climbing - you have good players... and they likely have the SAME good players, but had a better START of season than you. This may mean that you need to have a DIFFERENT player than them, to jump them.

    2. What does this mean? It may mean that you need to "think differently" or "choose differently"... or - make a move that doesn't seem sensible!!!

    It depends.
Do you want to just finish top 50?
Is top 10 enough for you?
Or do you want to finish 1st?

    What's your goal?

    3. Scheduling. This is a strange part of the season. Some teams have played 54 or 55 games. Some have played just 49 games. Use the "same night" tool to determine scheduling for the next "period". If you have a choice of two similar players... and one plays 9 games and one plays 12 games... that's a BIG difference.

As for pure player choices, assuming they all have same # games, similar opponents (which they won't).

    2 - Seguin
    5 - Ryan
    6 - Pavelski
7 - Backstrom (the masses will roll with the hot McDavid)
8 - Kuznetsov (WAS has games to make-up due to winter storm cancellations)
9 - Panarin (IF you are keeping Pat Kane in another box... If not, I'd go Eichel)
10 - Oshie (again WAS is behind in games)
11 - Kessel (avoid all EDM players, or go "all-in" on EDM players, but not "some")
    14 - Okposo
21 - Holtby (again, WAS thing)
24 - ANA. I think you may have to go with a non-popular choice in some spots. This is a good one, they are heating up.

    Great post Peng
    I'm climbing for 2 reasons (I think)
1- I switched back to Crosby when every one else kept their Benn.
2- I kept Kessel, saving my move for another box, when others switched for Hall.

With Turris coming back, the box where I see the most room for improvement is from Kessel to Hall. Next best is probably Sharp or Saad over Oshie. I probably wouldn't touch any of the other ones expect maximizing games and good match ups. A lot of the of the other ones you would be moving sideways or backwards.

Awesome explaination here. Pengwin7 covered all the bases. Of each category I'd go with...

    2. Seguin
    5. Ryan
    6. Tarasenko
    7. Backstrom
    8. Kuznetsov
    9. Panarin
    10. Oshie
    11. Kessel
    14. Okposo
    21. Holtby
    24. CHI or LA

Good luck. Impressive place in the standings so far.

    STL - 55 games played
    vs
    CHI 56 games played
    LA - 51 games played
    ANA - 50 games played

I really think I will go with Anaheim here.
34th this morning. 21 points behind 1st place (who has CHI).
