andersen long term
Hey Guys
I feel gibson now has the starting reins in anaheim, or will after this season.
But where do you see andersen ending up at the beginning of next season.
Do you see him backing up gibson? the starter in anaheim? or somewhere like ottawa?

Man, this is a question that has been asked many times on these boards through out the season so far and no one really has the answer to this. We may know more once the trade deadline comes but short of that, I dont think any of us can even begin to answer your question.

I recently had a discussion with a fellow GM in my keeper about Andersen. I have tried moving him with little success and the discussion we had was about how he would be more valuable elsewhere rather than be Gibson's backup. We agreed that maybe two of the best spots (fantasy speaking anyways) he could land would be Calgary or Arizona. In both cases, he would probably become the outright #1 guy, and wouldn't cost either team a ton of cash.
I don't see him going anywhere until after this season though, and until then may not be worth a whole lot.

Andersen has been involved in trade rumours but I personally don't see him getting traded, at least until the off season. Gibson has been great but has an injury problem and I wouldn't feel comfortable going into the playoffs with Khudobin if Gibson were to tweak something. Having said that, this is fantasy and not the NHL. I gave up on Andersen last month and out right dropped him after trying to trade him and found the rest of my league had zero interest in the guy.
