Default Why is Pickard going back to back?

Varlamov just rifled off 4 wins in a row and was named one of the stars of the week. Now, after the all star break, Pickard plays two in a row? I don't get it. Is there something going on in Colorado? Varlamov should be the starter and with his benching it is messing up my goalie stats.
Head to Head League: 1 point for G, 1 point for A. 2 for Goalie win, 3 for SO.
Start 6 guys every week. 3 O, 2 D and 1G. No substitutions once they are in (before the first game starts on Monday).
Protect 3 players every year in keeper.

If there's two things Patty Roy understands it's:
    i) Goaltending
    ii) Media Drama

He'll do what he feels is right for Varly's demeanor/hockey-self.
COL opened post All-Star break with 4 home games.
And there's obv a lot of Varly-news dripping thru and people remember all sides of his story.

Keeping him off the front lines is a wise choice.
    Pickard may get a 3rd, maybe even a 4th.

Varly will be back in there for their first road game for sure.
It's just a delay because of the situation.

I agree with Peng, Roy doesn't want to send Varly out there and get shelled because his head isn't in the game.

And why would you when you can roll Pickard out there for a few?

Pickard played well against the Hawks, getting shelled early on but holding his ground. He's solid, way better than Berra, and Roy has no qualms about starting him. Let Varly chill a little and clear his head. Sorry about your stats, but stuff happens.
