Are you f***ing kidding me
What a season...my H2H playoffs are about to start, and somehow I have managed to make the playoffs with pretty much one goalie for the entire season. Now that the playoffs are about to start, I had to decide what to do with Bobrovsky and I decided to release him. I can't stomach going into the playoffs with only one goalie. I've activated Ramo (huck) and now have Bishop and Ramo for the playoffs. The worse part is that this is a keeper league so I no longer have Bobrovsky for next season. With Ramo a pending UFA, I will lose him in this league also (we are unable to retain UFAs), so I will have only one goalie going into the draft next season and will have to hope I can find one in the draft.

Although there's no timetable yet for Bobrovsky's return from his third groin injury of the season, Blue Jackets GM Jarmo Kekalainen indicated Sunday that it was just a small aggravation of his previous injury, The Columbus Dispatch reports. "This is not a... if you have a major tear, you're out 6-8 weeks. This is not a major tear. But obviously now that there's been a little tear twice now, after his bigger one, we're going to make sure," Kekalainen said.
Spin:
The club is sending Bobrovsky to a different specialist this week in case team doctors have missed something, but at this point the Jackets still seem confident that their franchise goaltender can return and be fully healthy in the second half.

Jarmo say: Well... we have to be careful with Bobrovsky.
Jarmo think: Mmmm... Puljujarvi... and Matthews.
Just a small aggravation? I love the spin.

They should just LTIR him now. Tank for Matthews, and this is a great excuse to tell the world why you aren’t playing your ex-Vezina goalie.
Trade your top Center for a top D, draft a potentially better center. Genius. Even if they don’t get 1st, they can draft Puliarjvi. Or even draft Chychurn to pair with Jones for a Weber-Suter reincarnation.

I read a full article about the injury (posted below), and I would say that although everyone is confident that the injury isn't all that serious, the article also says that they are going to take a different approach to his recovery and treatment this time around. I will be surprised if he returns this season, to be honest. The team has nothing to play for and I don't think they want to risk Bobrovsky aggravating the injury a 4th time. I'm not saying they weren't patient enough with him last time (because by all accounts he was fully healed), but I do believe that the next time he is "fully healed", they will give Bobrovsky a lot more practice time before throwing him into a game. If I'm the Blue Jackets, once he is deemed healthy enough to play, I leave him out of game action for at least another 3 weeks.

Any word on this guy?
I saw a tweet last week that he was on the ice practicing again, but there was no timetable for his return. That's all for now...

Bobrovsky (groin) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, The Columbus Dispatch reports. "It was a harder practice," Bobrovsky said. "I did some splits. I did some reaction stuff. I felt pretty good."
Spin:
There's still no timetable yet for his return to action, but Wednesday's participation was an excellent sign that Bobrovsky is getting close. "He feels real good," Blue Jackets president John Davidson said. "He'll see some games if it continues this way. We don't want to set that specific date (for Bobrovsky's return) because he is going through the process. He was out there today chasing pucks, doing a good job. He's working his tail off. But we're not taking any chances, none whatsoever. But certainly we would like to get him in some games." With rookie Joonas Korpisalo still playing well and the playoffs just a pipe dream, the Jackets will be cautious with Bobrovsky, but once he gets clearance from the medical staff, he should immediately regain his starting job.
