I dont think an injury would affect his payday much. GMs don't just blindly look at his numbers at the end of the year to determine how much they are going to pay him.

Yes it would affect his payday if he suddenly had a season ending injury, especially if they went to arbitration again, because he has only had the 1 year and 40 games of great play. An RFA at 26 cannot afford a season ending injury at this stage.

I think the Sens got a steal of a deal at his last arbitration case. I don't think they get the same benefit if he goes back there again, injury or not. I think he has done enough to prove that last year wasn't a fluke.
