Leafs came out and said JvR is missing 6-8weeks with a foot injury. Leivo has been recalled.

You never wish injury on someone, but it actually helps out the Leafs future, and puts my mind to ease, a lot less likely he gets moved.
Hopefully Leivo does well in his call up.

Matthias will play left wing on the top line for the near future, Jonas Siegel of TSN reports.
Analysis: After James van Riemsdyk was ruled out for six-to-eight weeks with a broken foot, head coach Mike Babcock has decided on Matthias filling JVR's spot alongside Tyler Bozak and P.A. Parenteau. Matthias is a big body, skates well, and is coming off of a career year in which he scored 18 goals, despite his struggles this year. It's worth taking a flyer on Matthias while he resides on Toronto's' top line.
