Thanks to reeveta and nights for organizing this pool and congrats to Joe for winning this year. Looking forward to improve on my dismal showing this year. Awesome final - glad the Fins won at home!

svhecnikov...what a bum. thought he would light it up this year.

still can't believe russia cut guryanov...could have cost them the gold, who knows. i think a year from now we'll look back and realize what a huge mistake that was...so what if he was a little douchebaggish in the pretourney games lol

I definitely had Guryanov on my squad before they snipped him. Quite surprising, but I suppose if any team were to do it, it would be the Ruskies. Just look at the starting goalie carousel they implemented.. so odd.

i don't know since it was on a Tuesday afternoon. Hockey is so amateur, why have a championship on a Tuesday?

I don't know, but I was fortunate to being there live and it was an incredible game, for entertainment value, tension, skill and emotion...it ticked all of the boxes. It made up for, in my opinion, semifinals that lacked much of the above. Happy for Finland.

Not sure of when the format has changed in recent years but perhaps because it always starts on Boxing Day and given the number of games it had to end on Tuesday? I know it had been on a Monday for several years.

Thanks again to reeveta and Nights. You always do a great job.

Nylander being toasted hurt as well as my last second decision to take out Puljujarvi. Draft eligibles never dominate this tournament... right? RIGHT?!
Did you not pay attention last year, with McDavid and Eichel?

Oh, and thanks to everyone for participating! Wouldn't be this eager to help out every year if this was an 8 man pool!
