Craig Smith
Hi! Anyone has any insights on what's happening with Craig Smith?
He's still getting good minutes playing with Wilson and Fisher. He takes plenty of SOG (3 SOG/game).
His PDO is around 1000 but both his SH% and 5v5 SH% are on the low side.
But how can we explain his meagre 7pts in 23 games...
I'm tempted to simply drop him (I'm way ahead in SOG) for Oduya (I could use more blocks).
Will he awaken at some point and at least produce at the 55pts rate I had him pegged at for the rest of the season?

This could be more a "Preds" thing than any one player. Pre season points predictions for they're top 9 are falling short, and I suspect that will likely continue. We're seeing the same situation in Pittsburgh in a big way. On the other side of the fence are the Stars! I honestly think a 55 pt pace from here on in is likely optimistic for Smith. It seems highly unlikely any of the Preds forwards are going to have career years. I be tempted to cut bait and go and get your blocks.

He'll pick it up from his current pace but could finish with only ~40 if he stays healthy. Neither he nor Wilson has been the model of consistency and unfortunately this year appears to be no different.

What to do with this guy? He is top 150 for dobber one month, not even in the top 300 the next month. Last year he went on a huge second half tear. This year is barely seeing the ice or producing. Whadda u say?
