I have an opportunity to pick him up in a trade in a keep-7 format. I'm rebuilding this year. I'm not sure what he is anymore though.

What's the cost? It's hard to say if it makes sense if you are rebuilding. I suppose if it's low enough you could be able to flip him later...

Oh the trade as it stands isn't very good, but he's clearly shopping Hudler. I just want picks or keeper upgrades for next year. He's offering a 3rd round pick - which isn't easy to get in this league without giving something good up - Hudler and Elliott (who I won't consider keeping) for Foligno, Boedker and Raanta. Right now, the best offer I've got for any of those guys is a 5th for Boedker. And that's a 5th after everyone has kept their 7 players.I'm not sure Hudler makes the keeper-cut on my team unless he picks it up considerably.Any believers out there??

At the end of the day you'll net a 3rd round pick, and lose three players. It doesn't sound very tempting to me. Does your trading partner have Lundqvist? If so, I'd definitely be leveraging Raanta for more. You'd be better off, I think, letting him keep Hudler and getting a 2nd pick out of it. Take Elliot. Yeah, he's useless. But if Allen gets hurt, you may be able to turn him into something for next year.

Exactly what I was thinking (about Elliott). He unfortunately doesn't have Lund. He's got Holtby and Hammond I think, so he's in rough shape past his #1.

I feel like I could probably sell Foligno and Boedker separately for more than just that pick.

Lol how did this happen. I started off curious about Hudler.

I really appreciate the feedback though!

EDIT: I can't give you any rep in this thread or any other als. I've given you too much apparently Gotta spread the love around a bit first! But if I could, I would.
