I've been offered Luongo for Backes

What's everyone think? I'm thinking heavily about getting another Goalie. Goalies are at a premium in my league as well, and with Tampa's injuries and Gibson's uncertainty of nhl/ahl playing time, I worry about my goalie situation, even tho Bishop has been fairly solid. I'm always looking to improve my team but maybe I should stand with what I got right now?

In a 15-team league, goalies are SO valuable (trust me, I know because in my 15-team league, not in sig, I have Mason as my #1. Ouch...). So if you get a consistent, starting goalie, it definitely is worth much more than many players might be worth, simply due to the difficulty of finding them. By doing this trade you will now have a Tier 1 goalie (Bishop) and a tier 2 goalie (Luongo). Pretty damn good in a 15-team league!

I'd go for it. Backes is a great player but he's worth more in leagues that count HITS and FW. He'll put up decent points but your Pacioretty, Benn, Panarin et al make up a good strong offense for you. Your goalies (and defence) are the things that need improving the most and this trade is a good first step!

I would do the trade. Luongo may not get you a ton of wins, but he's consistent and your goaltending would look really good with Bishop and Luongo. In a 15 team league that sounds like a cheap price to pay for a starting goalie

RW doesnt look so good if you do that trade. What sort of replacement do you envision for Backes? I am all for having 2 Gs in your format, two dependable ones to get you as many solid starts per week as possible.

This is what's out there that I can see. Pulkkinen is on waivers, Weise, Zucker, M Johansson, Ehlers, Dano, M Karlsson, Purcell, Perron, Frolik, Pominville is on waivers, Rieder, Bailey, J Hayes.

It appears Hudler Draisaitl Gaborik are your 3 remaining RWs. I would be concerned if I was managing. None of that waiver trash inspires.

Ya there's not much out there but there's a couple possibilities. I could also just use my rw slots as muscle and add dorsett. I was also talking with another manager about maybe doing a Rask for Backes trade, and I might be able to do a low ball offer on either, Andersen, Varlamov, Elliot, or Smith. Would any of those be a better option then Bobby Lou? Having two florida goalies doesn't really sparkle me but I respect the peripherals.

You need to run the Same Night Tool and figure out which G you will use the most and factor that into your trade thoughts. If you make a big move it needs to have an impact. No sense having a 2nd G you hardly ever use because he always plays the same night as your #1.
