As a Wings fan, I see this kid as a second coming of Yzerman... Only better.

Realistically, is he a PPG player? Is he the better own, than say, Nylander?

That goal last night was vintage NHL 93 Modano style. I love watching him play.

Realistically, the potential is there to be a ppg player but a lot of players have the potential and never reach it.

It's hard to compare him to Nylander at this stage because one is in the NHL and one is leading the AHL in scoring. Both project very nicely.

Yes better than Nylander. Bird in the hand. Larkin is producing now. Point-per-game is definitely possible but it's a rare breed that does it for 82 games in the league today.

His speed is awesome no doubt.

But point per game players are rare...they are elite players now.

He has the upside to do it but will he?

Some players have that kind of potential but only a very few will achieve it really.

I would pick him over Nylander though...

Second coming of Yzerman, only better? Larkin is a good player for sure and could be a ppg player but Yzerman was and is a legend.

I agree with md26 on this. I'd rather have Larkin than Nylander.

Larkin is definitely looking good going forward, but to compare him to Yzerman already is a little premature..

    Ohhhhhhhh how I loved NHL93..
