Drop Jumbo Joe?

After a good start, Jumbo Joe has been pointless in seven of the last 10 games. He's on pace for 52 points.

With two C spots, I often bench him in favour of Backstrom, Spezza, and Hanzal (a waiver pickup a few weeks ago). It's my first time owning him, as I've known he's terrible at filling in peripheral stats.

I need SOG and am looking to pick up Vrbata.

Only other droppable candidates would be Lucic or Simmonds, but they're more valuable in this format. I've tried packaging him with another player but no bites.

So should I just drop him?

Fantasy Hockey Geek with Dobbers beginning of season predictions:
Vrbata 27g, 28a, 271 sog, 22 PPP, 53 hits
Thornton 15g, 52a, 149 sog, 23 PPP, 46 hits

Don't know how those projections have changed or what they look like going forward.
I'm contemplating the same swap as I need goals and sog

I like Thornton but as you say, he's really only useful for Assists and some PPP. I think he's just been unlucky over this last stretch since San Jose in general has been scoring and winning.

However if you have a need for specific cats like SOG then Vrbata will get you that for sure. However I don't see him scoring more than 55 points this season.
