    Default Ryan Johansen's ice-time

I haven't seen this posted anywhere yet, but thought I'd bring it up for discussion to see whether anyone thinks there is some real merit to the Torts and Johansen not getting along debate.

in 5 of the last 7 games Ryan Johansen's ice-time:

    15:34
    14:20
    20:34
    19:45
    15:45
    13:52
    14:24

Should this be some cause for concern? I'm well aware that its still early in the season and still plenty of time for this to change but is it a possibility that there are some early signs that Johansen's production could be lower than many expected as a result of decreased ice-time?

He's still got 16 points in 21 games.

Which brings me to my next question, if you had the opportunity to trade him for say, Anze Kopitar would you do it? Is now the time to sell?

This is the number you need to worry about. As long as he's still producing, who cares how much icetime he's getting.

Now is not the time to sell Johansen.

Id be worried because torts is an idiot. One of those guys that believe his system is better than letting his best players do what they do best

But no i wouldnt trade ry jo for kopitar. Ry jo seeing 10-20% less ice time is still more of a scoring threat than Anze in LA

If anything I'd say Johansen and Kopitar would be roughly equal moving forward. I don't consider this a sell-high at all. You should be targeting a better player than Kopitar who is grossly underachieving for the move to make sense.

I hope Johansen thwarts Torts' nefarious efforts to undermine his production. If you get a really nice offer for him then sure, adios muchacho, but forcing him out for Anze Kopitar isnt the answer you are looking for.

Nice... so glad I kept Jenner over Hartnell.
