Need Some Fast Trade Advice (REP)

I need to be talked off the ledge here. I am currently in 1st in pool in SIG but only by a few points, routinely drop as low as third on nightly basis constant change around among top 3-4 guys. I am falling behind in some peripheral stats, namely PIM HIT BLOCKS FOW.

I also made an all in move more recently trading my three best prospects and my top 2 picks in next years draft for immediate help in form of Nyquist Tatar and Keith.

I put Perry on the block recently and have been fielding mostly junk offers but this morning I got something worth considering. My initial reaction was hell no, but then I looked at it and now need to know whether my gut is right or reactionary.

MY: Perry and 4th and 9th rounder

HIS: Ladd Anisimov and 1st and 5th rounder

Ladd isn't the name Perry is but he will fill those side cats I need and I am concerned even with perry's big night last night that his last two years have been trending down.

The guy making the offer also has Backes who I have been after but never able to get, so if I could get him added to trade would it make a difference for you? Or am I just selling way to low on Perry even now.

So if you get Ladd and Anisimov, you'll get an improvement on HIT and FOW. However, you'll be losing a keeper. This is tough one, but I think I'd keep Perry, try to get extra peripherals elsewhere.

I think your right for sure, but at least someone else thinks its tougher then the initial names would represent

I'd keep Perry and be more patient with your team. We're only 20 games in. You can make changes at the bottom of your roster to target specific categories.

I think you're right to be trying to move Perry, but I'd be looking for a better return than this.

He did offer to switch out anisimov for stepan but I am still leabing towards reject.

That would be tempting for sure but you would have to drop someone to make room and that could possibly negate any edge you would have received.

Perry is still adding to 5 of your 9 categories, I would be looking for help from your blueline for HITS and BLOCKS.

Thanks for the advice, he wouldn't budge on backs with ladd, one or the other situation so I think talks are dead based on advice. I will look at the blue line for the stats I need. I think that makes the most sense too. Thanks again

Small update, trade ended up going thru after all. He decided to budge and include Backes Ladd 5 for Perry Nielsen 13. I still feel like I sold low on perry but I am in position where I want to win this year and getting these two guys solidifies the line up peripherals without a huge drop in points at all.
