Who to pick up: Neuvirth or Hellebuyck?

Andersen is out with flu-like symptoms so I'll have the opportunity to stash him on my IR+ slot for a few days and maybe wait to see if him and the Ducks get their act together.

Who would you recommend I pick up? Neuvirth or Hellebuyck?

Take it from a heavy PHI owner, you don't want anything to do with that mess in Philadelphia.

This is a soft endorsement for Hellebuyck.

Normally, I'd pick him because of his upside but the Jets are playing so poorly right now that I'm not sure it's the right situation.

Philly goalies should be a non-starter at this time. I wouldn't move on either Mason or Neuvirth until after they fire Hakstol (which should be coming soon).

They're not firing Hakstol. He is a good coach to bridge this rebuilding process which is going to take 2-3 years. Once Vinny, MacDonald, Umberger and the rest of the dead weight can be jettisoned and the cap brought back in line with sanity, Hextall will have the young D-men ready, hopefully a better G tandem and can start to make some targeted trades to bring in more top 6 talent to assist Giroux/Voracek & Co. plus some vets to help move things forward and round out the team.

Not sure why Neuvirth is getting so much hate...he's put up respectable numbers his last 6 starts.

Either way I'd pick up Hellybuck just on the gamble..he may end up ridding the pine the whole time, but if he gets a chance and runs with it's worth the move.

Definitely Hellebuyck. He's going to get a chance to prove himself, and long-term looks to be the man in Winnipeg. Neuvirth is a stop gap until Mason get's back rolling. He's been decent, but he's not a #1, nor does he have that potential.
