It would be great to see a nice "hockey" trade that works well for both teams.....

The problem is that the trade request wasn't made for hockey reasons so there's no real motivation for a hockey trade.

This makes perfect sense, but there's a downside...at some point this will become a distraction to either the player or the team. Especially as the deadline nears.

Well that's your opinion for what that's worth. I am confident if Peter Chiarelli were to put him out there for sale, he would have no problems what so ever finding plenty of teams willing to trade for that guy who gets knocked off the puck easily, who's injury prone, makes bad decisions and is overpaid. None what so ever and that probably includes Garth Snow and the Islanders.

No where did I say that Chiarelli was trying to move Eberle for Hamonic.

I said if he wanted to move Eberle he would have plenty of teams who would have no problems taking him off his hands.

I just clicked on the link you provided. No where in that link does it say Eberle was offered for Hamonic, let alone declined by Garth Snow.

All it says is Dreger assumes it wouldn't work because Snow wants a young D in return for Hamonic.

Do you guys think EDM would trade RNH for Hamonic, and would NYI accept you believe. On Leafs Lunch they said they didn't believe NYI would accept RNH for Hamonic .... but would they?
