I traded Malkin in the first week of his rookie season for Pavol Demitra. FAIL.

Another bad one went down last year. I needed goalie help and traded Benn for Okposo and Varlamov. PUKE.

I've made plenty of good deals too, but for some reason the bad ones are the ones you remember.

I'm (obviously) gonna reject this but I still wanted to share: in a keeper league, someone wanted me to give R.Strome, Nichushkin, Drouin, Gibson & Burakovsky for James Neal.

Now about accepted offers: well, 3 or 4 years ago, in a different keeper league, I actually offered someone my Holtby for his Lehtonen. Looks terrible today but that was well before the Trotz/Korn era. I learned my lesson about giving up on young players though.

Not hockey, but D.Thomas + some throw ins for my Fitzgerald+Gates+Gore.

Then a week before I traded my McManus(Kicker), Denver d, Palmer and last round pick (18th round) for his Lambo (Kicker), Pitts D, TJ Yeldon and a 10th round pick.

Hockey one would be Skinner+ Mike Richards for Backstrom+Voracek. Or H.Sedin for Rask 4yrs ago.

Reviving an oldie but a goodie. Looking back at this trade it was terrible at the time and could have gotten a whole lot more value but looking at the trade now it doesn't look all that bad really. My team recovered from this trade and I have a powerhouse which I am happy with.

30 team dynasty salary cap league that counts lots of stats.

My best trade: Moving Luke Schenn and a 4th round pick for Brent Burns and a 5th round pick in January 2011.

Worst Trade: Acquiring Ryan Whitney for Kris Russell, Shayne Gostisbehere and a 3rd at the trade deadline in 2013.

Best- I traded Richard Bachman for Frederick Andersen a couple years ago.

Worst- I traded Kessel and Atkinson for Schneider and Abdelkader. Kessel was at his lowest, Atkinson hadn't popped, and Schneider hadn't gone in the crapper. Plus, I was worried about my goalies and now Andersen and Talbot have emerged so I didn't even start Schneider last year.

Traded Tavares away for Benn and Perry, after Seguin had been traded to Dallas. In a multicat league, Benn and Perry have both destroyed Tavares ever since.

The season before last- at the trade deadline I was in a dogfight for a playoff spot and felt my team could do wsome damage once i got healthy IF I could secure a playoff spot. I offered Draisaitl and Palat for Sharp and a 1st. Our league is heavily sog weighted and Drai had not established himself at all. he offered the same deal with his second coming back- which I scoffed at... right up until the eve of the trade deadline (literally within an hour before it closed)- when I pressed accept... by far the worst trade Ive ever made- and I basically proposed it! I was high on Drai too- had him drafted and owned in 2 seperate leagues at the time. Just this off-season i offered Malkin plus to get him back- which will likely get soundly rejected.

Best- well ok not my best but my favorite (and probably ballsiest). Last year early season Kopitar was declining but still had superstar (albeit struggling superstart) status. Crawford was beastmode and Parise was in decline but still valuable. I traded them for FF (huge upgrade over Kopi imho), Vasilievskiy (hoping to start breaking even vs CC as soon as this year), and Huberdeau (another huge upgrade over parise who has been relegated to afterthought teerritory). On top of that I wrangled a free first rounder as well :P. Ive much had better trades in terms of pure value but they were usually against novice or less knowledgable GM's. The one I just listed was against a savvy league champion and all about timing, nutsack, and the ability to stand behind your convictions- lol!!!

The worst one I regret is moving Leon Draisaitl for Mikko Koivu in a pts only keeper. For some reason I had the idea that Draisaitl was going to be a bust. This was just days before his rookie season started.

In my favour one I always remember is moving Cory Conacher (after his 'big' rookie year) for Ryan Johansen.
