Accept right away before he changes his mind lol. Josi is a great player but bottom line is you are gaining value in Giroux. Whether you root for them or not is a non issue. As long as they are producing points for your team then its all good. They are the ones making money for you. Make smart calculated moves and not base your decisions on your heart.

Guy is still debating it.. but after tonight helps my cause. It's not that all wonderful of an upgrade for me unless I can then turn around and trade for another top defense which I believe i can get Shattenkirk. Will make for a great upgrade

I pick up a maybe 70 pt forward (which for now is slumping) replacing a 50-55pt forward. I give away a def Id say 50-55 (I think 55+) def that to recover on FA would be a 30ish pt defense.
so say upper end gain of 20pt forward difference and a lose of 20-25 pts on defense.

a) Giroux isn't a 70pt forward.
b) Josi is good and 55pt is possible but not guaranteed.

Giroux is much more proven and has had PPG seasons. Josi has one great season, and is a high end defenseman but you have to take G here.

Ya true I didnt give Giroux enough credit.. but I'm pretty confident Josi will repeat those numbers this year.

Yea, sorry but you are WAY too high on Josi. He's a great defenceman and I wish I had him on my team, but you're getting much more value with Giroux here. Trust me, I have Giroux and I'm suffering through his slump, but I'm sure he'll pull out of it and I'll regret moving him if I did (unless, I got someone just as good (but there's no way I would trade him for just Josi)).

On Yahoo!, the ADP for Giroux was 9.2 (Round: 1.2), whereas the one for Josi was 62.6 (Round: 6.3). I think that says a little more about the valuation of the players.

I agree, Josi is underrated for what he can do and the flyers suck, but I just don't know how Josi can be valued as high as Giroux.

I didnt say he wasnt. Im merely stating he doesn't help my team any better then having Josi, unless I can do another trade for another top defense which I'm quite confident in landing Shattenkirk.

So got an offer Giroux + Tyler Johnson for my Stone + Josi. Im thinking straight Josi for Giroux would do me better

I like both of those offers but I'd probably prefer the Giroux for Josi deal more as there's some risk with Johnson as to whether he can bounce back to last year's numbers (doubt it).

However Johnson is shooting the puck way more than Stone so maybe that's some food for thought. The Bolts will eventually get going and Johnson will be a part of it but perhaps Stone is the safer choice at this moment.

I don't know which GM I'm more disappointed in. Him for offering it, or you for not accepting right away
