How about Leo Komarov? Still listed as just "C" with only...get this...FIVE face-off wins. He's on the #1 line with Kadri and JVR and for leagues that counts hits, he is a gem right now! That'll be my next move, once (if?) he gets CW eligibility...

Trying to understand Yahoo's logic is pointless. Let's hope they eventually get it right, which usually means giving multiple eligibility to the majority of players in the NHL.
The position additions should give you an idea of which players the people working for Yahoo's data provider have on their own fantasy rosters...

I completely agree it's still so frustrating... and we can't expect anything from Yahoo!
I'd almost give them a pass for not having a "hockey fan" at their "data provider"...
But... I mean... how hard it is to write a very simple algorithm to flag non-centers.
Average FOW from last 5 or 10gp.
If FOW avg < 3... maybe do some research on the guy a bit to see if he's playing wing.
[Komarov, Jenner, Lindholm... yesh]
It's... really not acceptable (IMO) for whoever Yahoo!s "data provider" is to not have a single sensible hockey mind to have not picked up this sort of concept in... what... I think this is their 4th year including FOW as a selectable stat.
(yes, I know - we shouldn't expect anything from Yahoo!, but we are sending them "business" by page clicks. Any business should listen to a customer's comments, especially when they provide an explanation that is easy to implement and improve quality.)
Rant over. (for this time)
I hope they get to Jenner soon. its killing me. Why is he only a C?

Given me a few bucks and I’d go through top 500 players and switch it for yahoo!
ROR is a C, LW, RW. That’s just someone going, “Uhhh eff it, give it all”

I've never understood why people in yahoo leagues break up forward positions, instead of just labelling everyone as an F. Especially for one year leagues.

It's a good point.
There's some "fun factor" in creating your own team... and if you aren't drafting a certain number of "Centers"... it doesn't feel (to me) like you are actually managing your own team.
But for fairness of a pool, going strictly F (and doing without FOW) is just about the only way to forego Yahoo! silly positional eligibility.
Of course, they still have dropped the ball completely with Buff (RW/D) and Burns (RW/D).
I still don't understand how they can let that go and fix a few other players to singular eligibility.
There's just not even a shred of consistency with their positions.
(Well... they are consistently inconsistent!!! LOL.)
You and me both. He was not picked up in my league yet specifically because he is stuck as C, but I grabbed him this morning. Now I am overloaded at natural C. This week it does not matter so much because Columbus plays 4 games, 3 of which do not collide with my other 3 C's. But at the end of the week, I need to decide on who to keep between /Krejci/Turris/Jenner. Backstrom is safe lol.
Draisaitl, and a few others are tantalizing, but until they get dual..........

Several players given new positions today - typical Yahoo:
Leon Draisaitl Edm - C,RW (RW added)
Patrick Sharp Dal - C,LW,RW (RW added)
Sam Bennett Cgy - C,LW (LW added)
Boone Jenner Cls - C,RW (RW added)
Tyler Ennis Buf - C,LW,RW (RW added)
Leo Komarov Tor - C,LW (LW added)
Joe Pavelski SJ - C,LW,RW (RW added)
Eric Staal Car - C,LW (LW added)
Dylan Larkin Det - C,LW (LW added)
What's the point of using positions any more?
