Yes he is a good player to add.
Is Gudas a decent add for teams needing a sandpaper guy in hits/PIM leagues? He was a scratch the first two games but played tonight: 4 PIM and 5 hits.

He's my go-to guy in pim/hits/blocks leagues.
He's a great add for Pims, Hits and blocked shots when he plays. Problem is he's only played 1 of 3 games for Philly thus far this year, hard to produce when you're not in the lineup. He did play today but I'd wait to see if he gets a regular role in the lineup over the next few games before adding him.

FYI: Philly only plays one game--against CHI--over the next 7 days. If he is scratched for some dumb reason (it is the Flyers) it will be a while before he gets another chance to play. That's the one thing holding me back from adding him. Still might do it anyway since I am playing a weaker team this week. I love Gudas and thought he would be great for Philly but so far the coaches dont agree with me.
Philly lost both first games without him in the lineup, and now get a shutout when he's in. Coincidence? I think not!
I am a die-hard Avalanche fan!

Ya, he can be pretty good for hits and penalty minutes.
Being out all that time probably factored into him being eased back in. Or at least easing him in was the plan until the coach saw Luke Schenn's play.

I dumped Franson for him in the end. I can afford to wait on his schedule. Not too many guys out there who can contribute 100+ PIM and 200+ hits from the D position. Hopefully he gets back to his form from 2 years ago and the Flyers give him a full opportunity. He's actually not a slouch on offense either, gets his share of shots on goal and a few points here and there.
