First head to head league so basically I'm worried that a lack of superstar forwards will be crippling. And wondering if there's a point in holding a 3rd goalie or will i be starting Holtby/Flower every week??

That's a deceptively good team...

The only thing I don't like is the Jake Allen pick.

Things I love:
1. The D! Sweet mercy I love the D! Buff/Burns/Doughty!!! Yes! Even D.Wideman is a guy you will use because all of WPG/SJ/LA have LIGHT (1 or 2gp) weeks... whereas CGY has a more consistent (3gp) schedule.
2. The F! They don't look incredible, but I love that you did draft TWO NYR players. The have extra games in Weeks 1, 3, 6, 8, 9, 11. (You'll bench 'em in Weeks 4, 7, 12... but those are also the weeks when MON is good). It's a perfect double-tandem... either your two NYR players will be in -OR- your two MON players will be in. [*Btw, I assume you know that Ovechkin is NOT a start in 1-gm week #1. Go with Kreider(3),Stepan(3),Galchenyuk(3),Gallagher(3),Fo ligno(2)]

Things to work on:
3. The 2nd goalie. That's the only weakness, IMO. Allen is a split starter and STL actually doesn't have a great schedule and they DON'T face a lot of shots. Since Fantrax $$$ leagues are NO-TRADE... you'll have to find value on the waiver wire. Minnesota (Pominville) doesn't have a 4-game week in the first 12 weeks. You'll never use him. He's a drop. Hopefully Lack emerges. Who else is on the wire? Check in whenever a goalie hits the wire.

Overall: A- for this draft.
I think you'll do super-well in this "weekly format" of "weighted points".

Rangers have only one game next week, so I'll throw Kreider on the bench, part ways with Lucic, and keep my fingers crossed. Not about to blow things up out of panic but I'm starting to worry.
