Default [REP] Mason vs Varlamov vs Luongo (3 year window)

    20 team league - weekly H2H - daily starts - 2 goalie slots - 24 player team - 21 player farm

Goalie stats are 5/16 catagories (W, GAA, SV%, SV, SHO)

Mason, Varlamov, Luongo. I have an offers out there for each goalie.

Too make a long story short I have the chance to acquire one of these goalies to be my second starter. My question is "Which one of these guys do I really want?".

I am looking at Mason or Valramov as the primary targets with Luongo a contingency plan. Mason or Varlamov?

Lou might be the best short term option but Varly for me long term.

    For the next three years:

    Luongo
    Mason
    Varlamov

I realize that Lou is the oldest but he is still playing at a very high level and goalies tend to hold on to playing at a high level well into their 30's. I am not overly high on either guy after Lou but I like what Philly is doing with their backend and they will continue to improve back there. I tend to avoid Varlamov in most cases. I don't trust him.

    Lou/Mason
    Varly

Lou vs Mason is close, I like Lou better and on a better team, but Mason is younger and will be valuable longer, can go either way.

I like Varly but his team is more like Mason's, and injuries seem to hit him more.

For just 3 years I'd probably pick Lou as well, FLA seems like the team on the rise faster as Col is in the Central division and PHI has awful defense and some not great contracts.

    Lou
Varly (I like Col's chances to get better over Philly's)

Well that cleared things right up! What I am gathering is that each of these three can be seen as the best own and each of these three can be seen as the worst own.

I am actually pretty surprised by some of the answers here.
As a Varlamov owner his upside is quite good but he can be a headache with all his injury problems.

Stick with Mason. He had great peripherals last year despite Philly being dismal. I expect the Flyers to be a middle-of-the road team this year and Mason's win total to rise.
