    Default Advice on 2 Goalies

Who is the safer bet to have the overall better season in net and why? Eddie Lack or Andrew Hammond? Either will become my 3rd Goalie. Thanks

I like Eddie Lack more as an overall goalie, but I hate his situation more.

I expect Hammond to have a better season, assuming he gets in enough games to put up the numbers. Ottawa is a much better team than Carolina.

I think Eddie Lack can win the starting role and therefore more starts, more saves, more potential for wins but Carolina sucks.

I think the only way Hammond gets the starting role is if Anderson gets injured (which is probably)

I say go with the better goalie and hope he gets the stats for you.... Eddie Lack.

I think Lack is the better goalie and has a better shot at securing the starters role, so I'd hang my hat there. Only downfall of course is CAR is significantly worse than OTT

I like Lack more as a goalie, I don't think Ward is anything special. I think Lack has more upside to play on a bad Carolina team.

I think Hammond was a flash in the pan but he's secured the back-up role behind Anderson on a decent Ottawa team, an Anderson usually has some injury each season.

The safer pick in my opinion is Hammond, the higher upside is Lack.

    Pick your poison.
Both have upside this year ( Ward, Anderson's injury history)
Both have downside. Carolina should be bad, hurting Lack and Hammond may or may not be all that good? Not a big enough sample size to really size him up well.

Question, are these the only two options available to you?

In a dynasty, I take Lack. I believe he is the better goalie and Ward is a free agant next year (I don't think he has earned a new contract). Lack is also a UFA, but will come at a better price then Ward. I get the feeling Carolina is done with Ward.

I agree with this last statement but think Hammond is less safe than Lack is more upside. What I mean is this: if Hammond is 10% safer than Lack (number chosen to illustrate what I mean), than Lack has 20% more upside.
Am I being clear? If not, than just choose Lack regardless of my sad attempt at clarity.

Mike Smith is the only other option.
