Default Battle of the bottom-feeders! Khudobin or Raanta??

My goalie situation is BLEAK. I'm in a 15 team keeper league, start two goalies. Goalie stats are 2 pts for W, -1 for loss, 4 for SO. My other goalie is Ward, so yeah....I'm ****ed. Which guy gets the most wins over the next two years, Khudo or Raanta? Any chance that either gets a starting gig in the near future??? Thanks for any help!

I feel your pain, man. Sometimes starting goalies are difficult to find. Did you miss your live draft?

Honestly, I don't see either goalie getting a starting gig over the next two seasons. But Lundqvist has many more years of starting goalie equity than Andersen, so I would go with Khudobin here.

Is this a H2H league? In that case I'd probably go with Antti Raanta, with the Rangers having 17 back-to-back situations. Five of those come in March and April so Raanta could be a great player for use in your league’s playoffs when he should see lots of action.

    Ew.

I would probably go Raanta as well.

Khudobin for me. Anaheim has a nice off-day schedule and Khudobin is much more likely to steal starts than Raanta.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Can you list the other goalies that may be available (or are these 2 guys already on your team?)

Guys like Chad Johnson and Lindback may fly under the radar, but both tenders can give you a decent amount of starts IMO.

If the question is in regards to these 2 guys exclusively, I would side with Raanta due to the number of B2B games the Rangers face this year.

Hahaha I feel your pain, OP. My primary goalie is Cam Ward. My 2nd goalie is Scott Darling :| Didn't have a pick for the first 5 rounds in a 16 team league, so I'm screwed.

Fantasy Hockey Geek recommended I give Smith a shot. Lack too.

Over the next 2 years, it's tough to say who will get more points. Khubodin has a sweet gig in Anaheim, but John Gibson is knocking on the door. I think Raanta is the better goalie and Lundqvist has played 43 games, 63 games and 46 games in the past 3 years. So 2 of those years Talbot had plenty of opportunity to put up good numbers (and he did). I'm inclined to go Raanta just because of that.

Sucks you're looking at those 2 to be a #2 tedner, the good news is both could actually be solid backups.

I prefer Raanta because of the Rangers B2B schedule, especially down the stretch. I'd keep an eye on Khubodin though, BB has a history of running with the hot goalie regardless of who has "golden boy status" if Andersen struggles at all Khubodin is a competent goalie who could steal a few starts.
