    Default Drafting 3rd in 1st year of Keeper pool - who to take?

    The draft is 2 weeks away, doing research now. 12 teams; 9 keepers (3 years max) & 1 lifetime dynasty player.

    The Dynasty player changes things. If available, do I take McDavid over Tavares, Seguin, possibly Crosby?

    I think I take Ovie at 3 if he slips regardless.

    It's a head to head league - scoring system below:

    Skaters
    +/- = .5 (a minus 2 game is -1 from your score)
    Goals = 3
    Assists = 2
    GWG = 3
    Power Play Points = 2
    Short handed points = 3
    Shoot out goals = 2
    Shots on goal = .15
    Blocks = .2
    Hits = .15
    PIM = .25

    Goalies
    Goal = 10 points (an extreme rarity)
    Assists = 3 points
    Goals Against = - .5
    Loss = - .75
    PIM = 1
    Shutout = 5
    Saves = .15
    Wins = 2

    21 players - active 9 F; 5 D; 2 G - 5 bench spots & 10 farm (separate offline draft)
    Thoughts? Need any more info?

    Here is how I would take the top 3 in your dynasty league draft.

    1) Crosby
    2) McDavid
    3) Tavares

    I'm willing to bet Crosby and McDavid go 1-2 so I would be Tavares at 3.

    O.V is right there as well but would prefer Tavares instead. That's my take.

    Based on the scoring system, Ovie finished 70pts ahead of Benn, who was a distant second... No one has the combo of goals, hits and shots like Ovie.... Which is why I have him ranked in my top 3...thoughts?

    Crosby, McDavid, and Tavares are centers. Ovechkin is a left wing. Based on position scarcity, I think I'd take Ovie if he's still available. You'll have an easier time filling your C positions than your LW positions.

    For top 3, I'd go Ovie, Crosby, McDavid (simply because he has more years ahead of him than everyone else).

    You're in a tough draft year with McDavid entering the league, I agree with this order though..especially with SOG and Hits as part of your scoring. It will be very hard to not take Tavares at #3 over McDavid though.

    With a heavier weight on goals, I don't understand how Stamkos' name hasn't been mentioned yet. Next to Ovechkin, he's the best goal scorer out there.
    10 Team, Points Only, Cash League

    25 Man Roster (no position), top 20 point getters count at end of month
    Keep 20/25 at seasons end, Cut 5 to FA for redrafting
    Goalie points W=2pt L=-1pt SHO=2pt

    Stamkos, Tavares, Eichel, Mercer, JRobertson, RThomas, Kucherov, Nugent-Hopkins, Tuch, KConnor, Necas, Point, Konecny, SJarvis, Cozenz, Morrissey, Bouchard, Josi, Novak, Tolvanen, Peterka, Brink

    G- Vasilevskiy, Sorokin, Oettinger
