a lot of risk with either pick. But i would go with Dubnyk. Hopefully last year was legit.

I am still not fully on the Dubbie-Train, but I'd go with Dubnyk in this scenario. After last year, he'll be relied upon a lot by MIN and should post decent numbers, but I highly doubt he'll duplicate last year. Halak is getting old and MIN is the better team going into the season. Therefore I'd say Dubnyk.

I don't think any of us that advocate Dubnyk expect him to duplicate his numbers from last year but a great deal of wins and sv% around .920 is what I expect (and gaa around 2.25). I would be really surprised if his sv% ended up less than that. Minny's defensive system is one of the best and Dubnyk is an average goalie at worst, which is what his career numbers indicate.

There is exactly a one year difference between the two, Halak just turned 30 this year, age isn't an issue. Personally I'd rather have Halak, should get more wins, and most importantly to me, he has at least proven he can be a reliable starter.

Halak for me. Better team and a better track record of putting up solid numbers in 50plus game seasons. Another year of top end production from Dubnyk and I may change my mind. But for now, give me Jaro.

This is a tough one. I think Duby puts up better numbers this season but they are darn close.
Par on wins, SO's is a crapshoot between the two but wont be far off. GAA will be slightly better for Dubnyk.
Halak's bandaid boy status leans me further as well.

Dubnyk for me. I think Halak is underrated but I think so many are expected Dubnyk to fall from grace this year.

I know if I were drafting I would be taking Dubnyk before Halak.
