I had the same choice at the end of last season. Owned Allen and Gibson, couldnt keep both. Traded Allen away for whatever I could get.
I think Gibson will be a stud in the near future. Worth holding onto if you can.

Tough call here. One thing to consider is that both teams might be looking a new head coaches soon as Bruce B and Hitch are both on the hot seat to do special things this year, both could very well fail and thus new coaches come in and change the team dynamic a bit. It could play a future role for both these tenders.
I personally like Gibson better and his situation better. Both Andersen and Gibson's contracts end after this season as they both with be RFA's so something has to give here. Allen has this year and next year with Elliot, so his timeshare days will remain as they are for a while yet.

Sounds good guys thanks for the help. Is was thinking Gibson is probably the better option, but keep thinking Allen might just take over in St. Louis.

Allen will likely take over this year and Gibson will be in the minors. Ducks won't carry 3 goalies and he's the only one that doesn't need to clear waivers. Could also be a band aid boy in the making.

If the immediate is less in question, I personally value Gibson a bit more then Allen. But that's only if the wait is palatable.
