Ovexhkin, although Hossa has had some great starts with Chicago.

I will go with Ovechkin as well. It will probably take OV half the season to hit that number and Hossa will probably take 3/4 of the season before he hits his.

Ovi. It took him 45 games to get 25 goals last year. Hossa took 54 games to score 14.

Of course, it could go either way. In 2013-14, it only took Hossa 31 games to reach 14 goals. Hopefully, they both kill it all season long, as they are both on my keeper league team!

I wish it was Hossa, such a great player.

My vote goes to Ovie though...

I would say Hossa gets it first if Kane doesn't start the year. Hossa is bound for scoring duties as there will only be him and Toews to carry out that mandate (no Saad, no Sharp).

If Kane does end up playing and Hossa ends up on the 2nd line, Ovie is more likely to score those 11 extra goals before Hossa hits the milestone IMO.

I forget which Ramblings it was, but a recent one noted that in the games that Patrick Sharp missed Hossa was basically a production machine. With Sharp now gone, I say Hossa.

Hossa for me. Maybe Ovechkin starts out a little slower if Backstrom isn't fully up and running and Chicago without Sharp/Saad may lean on Hossa for a few more goals.

Hossa will be first line regardless, but I think the PP will be where he will get more looks if Kane is gone.
