Default Trading Bishop for Lehner +

What should my plus be. I through out some random ideas without really thinking and said Lehner and a first might do. However in an 18 team league and a mid first, I don't think it's value is enough. Maybe Fabbri + Lehner? I feel his value is higher than i initially thought.

Personally, I'd have a bit more of a plan than that. Which team do you think would be in need of a goalie? What could they offer you in return? Are you truly interested in acquiring Lehner, or did you just think of him randomly?

Are you giving up Bishop? If so, then stop immediately before hitting the "accept" button. If the other GM gets cranky and says things like" what happened to wanting Lehner +?", you tell him you hit your head and that the temporary insanity has passed. LOL!
Bishop is a top tier goalie on a fantastic team. It would take Lehner ++ to get me at all interested. The two additional guys would have to include one full time NHLer and a prospect. And I like Lehner, but Buffalo is still a couple years from being relevant while TB is very relevant right now.

In an 18 team league, why do you want to trade Bishop? And why are you targeting Lehner. It's hard to give advice based on such limited info, but the very premise does not sound appealing. Even if you are going into a rebuild or retool, I don't think Lehner + for Bishop is the best answer.

It was simply an offer I received! I do feel like it's not enough. This confirmed my opinion. I will definitely look more into it! I don't like Bishop because of his injuries and Vasilevski, and I took over another team that needed work. It was the first draft this summer and the original owner missed a few picks and messed up alot of them. So this team is yet another rebuild that I've taken over!

Even if you don't like Bishop for those reasons, there will be a manager out there who thinks he's a top 5 to 10 stud. Cash in on Bishop if you want to deal him. I'm not sure if Lehner+ is cashing in unless that + is big time value.

    A few things...

    What's your roster look like?
What are your plans for this season?
I would not deal Bishop in a deal for Lehner, but if you insist on dealing him aim higher.
Another angle, is deal for Vas so you can handcuff him to Bishop.

I would definitely move Bishop before he tanks in value bit not for Lehner. I would wait to see how he fares this year because he has a lot of question marks

Your reasons for wanting to move him are fair, but in an 18 team league you should be able to get a lot more for a goalie who was a couple wins shy of winning a Stanley cup and starts for one of the best teams in the league.

As a Bishop owner in a 12-team league, there's no way I'd deal him for Lehner and Fabbri. I'm not 100% sold on Bishop as being a top-five goalie, but he has an excellent career win-loss record and his GAA and S% aren't bad (2.37 and .918). Tampa will likely be the team to beat in the East again and Buffalo still has a way to go.

Even if Vasilevskiy takes over in TB, or TB does not re-sign Bishop he has played well enough and gotten enough wins that another team will take him on as a starter at the end of his contract. Bishop would have to really fall off the face of the earth to not be considered when his contract is done.

I wish I has GMS like you in my pool, take my filler goalie and a prospect or a draft pick for a stud.
Bishop will likely play out his contract before Vasi is ready to challenge. (Lehner hasn't been the same since his concussion)
