    Default WHL - Trade Block

I thought it might be a good idea to post our trade blocks and keep them refreshed here as opposed to Fantrax. If not, we can delete this thread.

I'm always open to making moves. gin... We'd need to tackle out current discussions from a different angle but I'm still eager.

So this is where/how we are going to do this?

We should the word out to GMs to subscribe to thread as I have just seen this now myself.

I'd like to ease into things ideally, let the league settle a bit and get a feel for real and perceived values and such before becoming an active trader but this doesn't mean I'm not open to talking at this point.

Just so folks have an idea of my direction here, I guess I'd be looking into moving futures (possibly including young roster talent in right deal) for current production. Considering the way many teams drafted, there should be many suitable partners who would like to continue to add prospects/picks to the cupboard of young assets they already possess. CSKA is not opposed to taking on salary.

Now, when I mention that young roster talent could be moved for current production in addition to prospects/picks, a guy like Mackinnon (although not untouchable) is not considered futures in the sense that he is the current production I'd be looking for and (obviously) given even more value do to youth and upside.

Looking forward to hearing from any and all of you, even if just posted here just to clarify the direction you'd be looking to take your team, as I did above.

I'll agree with Rainy. For the most part I would like to sit back and see how the league develops to get an idea of trade values. I will, as per the trade today, be open to making moves though if it makes sense to me. The direction for my team is mostly near term. I am willing to part with prospects (further away from producing) and picks (loathe to part with 1sts) for immediate help. Ehlers and Nyquist are my only untouchables, although prices will be pretty high for Max Pac, PK and Pouliot.

Can we just speed up the calendar and get hockey started please.

Nice trading with you sir. Wanted to move Jimmy Hayes and it was hard to find the right return, but I'm happy wit Ryan Murray.

Hopefully he strings a full year together this season.

I do believe in Murray and I hope he pays off for you. I am happy to have Hayes jump into the lineup. Hopefully playing at home agrees with him.

Nice dealing with you too. Will be interesting to see how this plays out over the year.
