    Hi!
Does Anders Lindback have any chance to do something right this year?

I don't have a lot of faith, but there is a chance. Not as good a chance as Dubnyk had last year with Arizona, because Lindback is more injury prone and he didn't have the stellar "close to the net shots faced" stats that Dubnyk had. I don't know what Lindback's number is, but I remember Dubnyk being in the Top 3 between 2012-2014 for SV% within 20 feet or something along those lines. Just a couple of good signs for success that could only be built on in a Tippett system. I wouldn't touch Lindback with a 10 foot pole. Whereas last year, I would have considered Dubnyk as a depth guy in a late (deep) draft

The point at which I would consider Lindback, is if your wanted a dark horse backup with a shot to start 40+ games after an injury. Mason seems to be a ticking time bomb with his already band-aid-boy status and his strange back and knee injuries. If you sorely need some starts, you could do worse.

Neuvirth is Mason's backup. Lindback is Mike Smith's backup

My mistake. Unsure why I had it in my head that Lindback had landed in Philadelphia.
In that case I would agree that Lindback likely will not be worth the time.

Yeah, I wasn't sure what Eskimo was talking about. I got to wondering if I missed some NHL news where backup goalies got swapped. It is OK, EB, we all have our a Homer Simpson moments. I think I am in the Guiness Book for the most...LOL.

I wouldn't pick Lindback unless there are absolutely nobody else to take. I suppose in a really deep league with lots of teams, he might be an option, but I wouldn't think he would be very useful in any 20 team league where every team has two goalies. Guys who should/could be still available, if you are talking definitive backup goalies and who are available in my 20 team keeper (as an example), and that I would prefer are guys like James Reimer, Ben Scrivens, Jacob Markstrom, Petr Mrazek and Andrei Vasilevsky; all of whom will be better than Lindback.

As bad as Smith was last year, I think Smith either bounces back or Lindback doesn't fare much better.

I actually think Domingue will give him a run for his money for that backup spot in training camp as he played well in his limited time last year.

Why I have some optimism for Lindback is that we've seen some great stretches from him where he has played at an elite level. On the flipside, he has had more brutal stretches which have resulted in him nearly being out of the league. As a Lindback owner in a deep league, I was very pleased with him signing with Arizona. I am not counting on him for anything but I give him a small chance of turning things around.

I used to own him in one of my leagues and when I was able to add him in as a toss in I was all over it.

Don't see him doing anything. Sorry I've lost faith

I don't blame you. The Flyers and crappy goalies are often linked.
