Kucherov + for bob

Burakovsky + kucherov for bobrovsky. For same stats as sig but different league. My current goalies are bishop Howard lehtonen and bobby lou. I want to have 2 - 3 sure fire starters on my roster and goalies are most important. Is this price to much for bob? Thinking I could move Howard and lehtenon to offset the loss of kucherov

Replacing an average goalie like Bob is probably easier than replacing a sexy young Russian that produces in spades. Unless we're talking about 30 team leagues of course, but you already got other goalies so this seems like overkill.

If goalies are important as you say they are then replacing Howard / Lehtonen with BOB is potentially a giant leap forward. If you can take the loss of some young firepower I lean towards doing it. I think that Columbus is going to be one of the top 5 regular season teams. If so, it would stand to reason that BOB will be a top 5 goalie. But this, is based on opinion, not fact.

I like the pick up because Lehtonen and Howard will be pushed all year and will never play back-to-back games with Niemi and Mrazek ready to play regular games. Bob will get you the games played and the points you need. Just remember he is a bit of a slow starter it seems but will have a superb second half.

The only tough read is not knowing the rest of your forward roster as Kucherov is going to be a high end talent for years to come.

I tried moving hornquist to bob owner as part of a deal but came back with kucherov. The owner has a few young guys like schwartz that I could include if I offered malkin? As I have hornquist might be better to move malkin and get more then bob back? Just spit balling here. I personally don't want to go into this season with tenders that decline into a back up roll.

You just hurt his feelings Gain. This was the year he beat out Lundy and Niemi.

I too would do the deal but Kucherov wouldn't be the first guy I would be shopping. Bob would be a nice asset to your team. And yes, the jackets are getting a lot of love on nhl radio/commentators on a strong strong season coming up.

To much for me unless you can get decent return from someone for Lehtonen and Howard to make up for the loss of Kucherov.

Yeah this is a tough one for sure. My initial reaction is that it's too much to give up for Bob... but I can appreciate your dilemma after seeing your goalie cats. If you only had 1 starter, I might be tempted to pull the trigger. But with 2 solid starters and another 2 "leading" candidates, it's just too pricey for me.

I think your Horny offer was the right course of action and unfortunately he declined. Before moving a piece like Kuch, I might shop Horny around to other GMs who have starters they might be willing to part with... especially whoever has Niemi and/or Mrazek where you could offer Lehtonen and/or Howard and they would value them.
