I don't see any wrongdoing here. If those two are making fishy deals this is not a great example.
Hi Guys !
This trade just been prosessed in a 16 team Dynasty league like the one in my sig.
Team 1 gives :
Johnathan Quick
Jiri Hudler
Cody Ceci
39th overall prospect pick this years class
Team 2 gives :
Jimmy Howard
Henrik Zetterberg
31th overall prospect pick this years class.
The thing is the two parts are very close in family.
Team 1 has made 3 trades during a 4 year period and one of them before was with team 2, giving a bit of problem at that time.
Team 2 has been trying and succeeded to offload howard in other fantasy leagues, well with Mrazek you cannt blame him for trying.
The two other trades Team 1 has made got that wow factor in them like 1st round picks or prospects (Monahan), I just donnt see this trade as being a trade someone who hasnt traded for 18 months would come out of the shadows to do.
Team 2 is a league championship contender and team 2 is ranged in the bottom 8th in the league.
I am giving the 2 teams a hard time about this, but am I wrong to do this, what do you think ?
I don't see any wrongdoing here. If those two are making fishy deals this is not a great example.

The thing is their husband and wife.
I donnt see why anyone would trade Quick + Hudler to get Howard + Zetterberg in a Dynasty league.
I especially donnt see what makes a GM who has traded 3 times during 4 seasons og fantasy hockey suddenly wake up and do this trade with her husband.
Maybe the trade itself isnt smelly but everything else with this trade feels strange..
It looks fine to me.

I'm trying to figure out who wins the trade...
First of all - if your playing in a serious keeper league with husbands and wives in it, thats your first mistake.
Second - I guess getting Quick and Hudler slightly edges out Howard and Zett, but if I were gonna collude with my wife, I would go for a lot more than that. The fact that you have to second guess a pretty innocuous deal says enough, just wait til an actual bad trade happens, your gonna have a stroke.
Third - Maybe they are playing the long con, hustling you with a couple minor trades. But you got em from the word go!

You shouldn't necessarily judge a deal on what you would do. Are you going to scrutinise every deal they make going forward, even if they are few and far between? What if they just wanted to trade? It's difficult to know what happens in your league from the outside as we don't have the perspective of potential problems with these two, but on the surface I don't see any issue.
Don't see the fishiness here. Well, other than having a league where there are husbands and wives involved. I can hear it now if that were true for me and my wife: "honey, if you trade Crosby to me for John Scott, then I will paint the living room this weekend and clean the bathrooms too."

It's not a bad trade. Probably not the best return for Quick and Hudler, but thats not the worst trade i've seen.
I don't see any problem with the trade. Certainly not worth giving people a hard time over.
I'm surprised that the husband and wife haven't done extremely lopsided trades. I would personally never play in a league that had two or more members from the same family unless it was a free league because in my experience to much BS goes down that causes bad blood over something that should be fun.
My advice: don't be in a dynasty/keeper league with any spouse combo's.. It never ends well..

Nothing fishy here as far as I can tell
There are enough red flags on players on both sides of the deal that you can make a case either way.

The only problem is see here is, that you have one gm who didn't do a trade for 18 months. Unless you are winning and your team is really strong, i don't understand how you can just sit down and do nothing.
The trade itself is fine.
