    Martin Jones.

There is a shit ton of competition in Calgary with Ramo, Hiller, Gilles, etc that clouds Ramo. He's also only on a one-year deal so between the competition he's against and uncertain long-term future I'd stay away from Ramo and fully invest in Jones here.

I am going to disagree with Shake here and say Ramo.

The reason Calgary brought Ramo back was due to the fact they simply aren't sold on Hiller as their #1. If they were, they would have brought in a cheaper backup instead of paying Ramo almost $4M. Gilles isn't a threat to either guy right now, or for the immediate future either. He will spend a couple years in the AHL to "season" his game before making the leap, assuming all things go according to plan.

Jones has a total of 34 career NHL starts and the team in front of him isn't great. I get the fact that Jones is younger and signed as if he's the starter in SJ, but I fully expect him to earn his starts in competition with Stalock. For me, the unproven makes me nervous with Jones and you cannot deny that he's unproven as a NHL starting goalie.

Neither goalie is a proven NHL starter. Both come with some uncertainty.

Give me Jones. He has the contract and less competition. Ive never believed in Stalock and I don't think it will take long for Jones to prove he is the go to guy.

Both goalies will be fighting for a starter position for this year... Stalock vs Jones and Hiller vs Ramo. It's really hard to say who to keep.

My gut says, go with Jones :/... higher risk/higher reward kinda thing lol

    Jones for me.

Stalock poses less of an obstacle to Jones than Hiller does to Ramo. Hiller has been a legit #1 in the NHL and Stalock has never been more than a backup, who incidentally blew his opportunity to seize the starters job last year. Though both situations are tandems, I'm more confident in saying that Jones outperforms Stalock than Ramo vs Hiller, which is more of a toss up.

Ramo is the backup to Hiller but will push him for starts for sure.

Jones is more of a starter than Stalock is so it's his job to lose IMO.

Give me the guy that should have the crease instead of the one that could get it.
