He had a promising rookie season (albeit short) but flopped big time last season and the Coyotes are a mess. I notice he's still ranked at 77 in Dobber's defence rankings, why so high? Is he expected to pair with OEL, or get top PP time?

Being ranked #77 among D prospects isn't saying much. He'll probably be PP2 most of the time which isn't bad. It'll probably get him around 15-20 points. He has upside but I see that as more of a LONG-term thing.

He's ranked #77 in the main D rankings, not prospects. He's above guys that have arguably demonstrated more value (Gelinas, Russell, Niskanen, Bogosian, Nesterov), as well some highly touted prospects (Pulock, Morrisey etc, obviously those guys are included based purely on upside). I'm just curious as to why, and if there is something that I'm missing.

I'm also interested in knowing? There is an open spot on PP1 with OEL, he and Stone will compete for that. Worst case scenario is PP2, around 25-30 pts.

Interesting Sleeper D for next year

I had higher expectations for him until he struggled last year. The situation in Arizona is ideal for him to grab significant PP time.

I see him as a 35 pt player with a handful of PPP.

I still love his upside in multi-cat leagues. This season will go a long way in telling us the kind of player Connor Murphy will be in Arizona.

I would think with his subpar season last year, now would be a great time for Brandon Gormley to steal some TOI from Murphy. Who do you guys prefer at this point, Gormley or Murphy? Murphy certainly has more experience but Gormley has the better ceiling.
