Choosing my Keepers (2)

I can only keep 2 players and they can't be selected in the first two rounds, which basically eliminates: Pavelski, Rask, and Seguin.

That leaves everyone else on my team available. I think I have narrowed it down to keeping Burns, Couture, or Carlson, although, I was tempted to keep Klingberg or Stepan as well.

I figure Goalies will be relatively easy to draft since they were either drafted in the first two rounds, or most people won't be keeping one.

According to FHG, the two top players for me in this league are: Couture and Carlson but I feel like Burns' double eligibility (if he will still have it) makes him more valuable (and he has more name value than Carlson). However, with Green gone, Carlson has a big window of opportunity.


So, what do you guys think? Who should I keep?

Carlson and Couture are the way to go. Burns is very solid too, but Carlsson could join the elite group of Dmen with Green fully out of the equation. Not quite sure if Burns has alot more name value than Carlsson at this point.

According to his coach Burns will only play d next season, i'd still keep him together with Carlson.

Couture should be easier to redraft, there are better center available to be taken before him.

I would go with Burns and Carlson. Both could be 50+ point defensemen who score a lot of goals.

Couture is a 60-68 point forward in my book right now. Stepan is good too but I don't fully trust Ranger players to breakout and/or sustain great numbers over the long-haul. Klingberg is the wildcard here but Burns and Carlson are more proven and Carlson's situation is only going to improve.

I'd go with what the numbers say: Couture and Carlson.

This was my initial "gut" choice, and if the numbers back it up, then I'm doubly sure about it.

I like Couture and Burns, but you could keep Carlson over any of those two.
