Keep 2: E. Staal, Oshie, Tatar

We're having an expansion draft this summer, and I only have room to protect 2 of Eric Staal, Oshie or Tatar. I will try to trade the odd man out, otherwise he will more than likely be plucked by one of our two new teams. Which 2 should I keep?

Stats are G, A, PPP, SHP, GWG, SOG, PIM, Hits, Blocks and Faceoff Wins.

I'm less concerned about this coming season than I am 2-3 years down the line, which has me leaning towards seeing what I can get for Staal. But very interested in some outside opinions. Thanks!

Staal's value is too low to trade at this point. Oshie is in a crowded scoring line situation with the blues. No +/- in stats, I'd keep Staal and Tatar.

I would probably move the guy I can get the most for.

I like the peripherals you get with Oshie & E.Staal... but Tatar seems to have the brightest future.

Try offering:
Tatar to the Datsyuk or Nyquist owner.
Oshie to the Backes or Steen owner.
E. Staal to the... well... I'm guessing nobody keeping any Canes... maybe the J.Faulk owner!

Tatar is the must-keep.

Of the other two - it's really close, and I'm not eager to own either player - but I've gotta say Staal.

1. You count Faceoff Wins
2. Oshie is probably being traded, we don't know where. Staal is Carolina's #1 Centre for a few more years, we know what we're getting there.
3. I dunno - I guess I just trust Staal more - I feel like his game will age better than Oshie's.
