1) Colds in general. Off three days this week with head chest cold. Gnarly little thing.
2) Losing the dishcloth in the sink as it's buried under 3 pounds of dirty pots.
3) Not knowing how to spell Gnarly. Thanks google.
4) My neighbor was running his chainsaw across the road at 4AM this morning! I know this because I was awake coughing my brains out and because chainsaws at high speeds are LOUD!! He's into carving wood products and apparently getting an early start on his work. Again 4am! pitch black! He took off to timmies for his 330am coffee and that must have jacked him up. May look into noise bi-laws around here or ask one of several OPP officers on my street to address his antics. He usually starts banging around in his driveway around 5am but this was a new record.
Anyone else here deal with dumb dumb neighbors? no concept of respect or machines that produce high pitch sounds?
This was with my fan running and the windows closed.

Oh man, I'd definitely check your noise by-laws. There's no way that's OK. We used to wait until 8am religiously to turn on any machines when I was a contractor -- 4am is just downright ignorant.

When I haven't used my pressure cooker since last winter, and all I want to make is a damned pot roast and I can't find the stupid little weight that acts as a steam regulator, and I tear the ENTIRE ****ING KITCHEN APART looking for the stupid thing, only to find it in the junk drawer I never use. 90 minutes of my life. I could have just cooked the flipping roast in the oven in that time...

Please tell me your "pressure cooker" is an Instant Pot. If it isn't, go buy yourself one. It will change your life.

You out in the country or something? You could hold a rave on your property. With those massive speakers going boom, boom, boom and O.D.'ing teenagers flopping on his property, I'm sure he'd come over for a discussion about noise. Just make sure you are armed because you might be heading into a chainsaw fight and you'll want a firearm. My ideas aren't usually great at amicably solving problems, but they can be fun as long as you don't mind conflict.

I too own a fairly new and big saw. But no I'm not controversial. Yes I'm a country boy. 20 mins west of Que. border. Life is good out here. cough, well maybe.

From stove into water to soak --> go eat --> then do dishes but first, find the cloth. Have washer but don't use it often.

Oh yeah, in my heart, I am a grammar Nazi without question. I never correct people though because that just comes off as pretentious and usually unwanted by those making the spelling mistakes. It's like when people block the left lane on the highway (not on a two lane street in the city, that's totally different), there are always people who want to "teach them a lesson" by riding their bumper or once they finally get past them, cutting in front of them and "brake checking" them. That just leads to nothing good and you're not going to "teach" them anything anyway, they are too ****ing stupid to learn how to drive properly. Don't get me wrong, I want those idiot drivers to die horribly, but I won't use my car as a weapon or get into a "road rage" incident because of it.

As for your driving part, no, they just don't get it. Now I don't want them to die a horrible death because of it :wink:, and I won't use my car as a weapon either because there are consequences, but I will let them know in other ways. And yes, I did check my spelling for 'consequences' and am proud to say I was right.

It is hockey related but I'm kind of irked that I can't make fun of Leafs fans anymore right now. I've got nothing against the Leafs, I just very much enjoy tormenting their fans (there's a lot of them here in eastern Canada)

Late night sports solely because when you get home, you can’t sleep. I had indoor soccer 10-11pm, stayed up to watch the cubbies, didn’t get to sleep till 1230am, woke up at 5am for work. 2014OG is nottttttttt having fun this morning.

And Sunday was a 10-11pm ice hockey, and Tuesday was a 9-10pm hockey but didn’t get on till 920, so I was home by 11pm. I need a nap.
