Tatar vs. Eberle
For league in sig.
I'm weak at RW and am thinking of offering Tatar straight up for Eberle. The GM who currently owns Eberle traded Tatar to me in a deadline deal last season and I know he'd like to get him back. He just acquired Eberle (within the last couple of weeks) so I'm sure he's pretty high on him. The reason I am targeting Eberle, other than the fact that he's a great young player on an up-and-coming Edmonton team, is that I acquired the 1st overall prospect pick in our pool and will be drafting McDavid, who may end up playing with Eberle.
I think this is a fair deal that would work for both teams. I am a big Tatar fan but acquiring Eberle could pay off big if he ends up playing with McDavid.
Is this a good deal or should I just hold onto Tatar?

This would surely be a great deal for you. If you can do it like this, go for it. But i do think that the other GM will easily decline it for 3 reason you mentionned in your post:
1-he acquired Eberle and would want to rip the benefits of it. We all like our new toy.
2-McDavid goign to Edm has elevated Edm player value alot. In almost every league, you have to pay more then before the loterry to get guys like Eberle, Hall and Schultz.
3-Name factor goes to Eberle.

Own both and it's close. But the potential to play with McDavid is why Eberle gets the edge. But this is closer that most will think.
Tatar is a possession and goal scoring machine.

It's a pretty fair deal, but Eberle has more of a 'name' factor going for him. The other owner likely won't do it....he could probably get more than Tatar based on Eberle's name alone...
