Default Foligno: keeper in a 12 teams keep 6?

Points only, team and league in sig.
    5 locks.
    Looking for my 6th keeper.
I know Josi stands out, but being in that league since 8 years, I find that solid Dmen are easier to find in the draft than 60+ points forwards.
Last year, I started the draft with 5 F and Price and won the league. I drafted Shattenkirk (1st round), Phaneuf (4th round), Josi (5th round), JJohnson (8th round) and Hamilton (as my 5th Dman in the 9th round). Also picked Myers and DelZotto in the last rounds.
So if I wish to go again for 5 F and Price as my keepers, would Foligno make the cut?
His last season of 73 points puts him in the top 10 tied with Giroux and Tarasenko!!!
What do you see for him now?
I think his trade value isn't so great so I don't think I could land something good for him.
I chose to keep him. I chose to keep another player from my team. Or I chose to trade picks to get an upgrade for my 6th keeper.
    Thanks guys.

I prefer Ladd to Foligno. I would even gamble and keep Marleau just for next season considering that your 5 other keepers are locks for years to come.

Marleau will most likely have the best offensive stats from the bunch listed above and you can simply drop him at the end of the year in favor of a better player that you selected during this year's draft.

So I guess Shattenkirk was dealt at some point eh?

Personally I think all of Ladd/Foligno/Backes/Marleau are in that +-60 point range on a typical season, so to be honest I think I would keep Josi even with you saying D are easy to get. All of your F options should also be easy to nab in the first few rounds, and that means you can wait a bit on D.

I don't see Foligno as a 60 point player going forward. I need to see him keep it up for another season, but I suspect he'll fall back down to a 40-50 player with solid peripherals of no use to you in this league. Ladd, Marleau or Josi for me.

In a panic move, I traded both Sedins, injured Shatty and injured EKane for Parise, Marleau and Giordano.
The week or so later, I retraded injured Giordano for Foligno and Backes.
Leaving me with only Parise as a keeper instead of Sedin, Sedin and Shattenkirk...

Any chance you could package Foligno/Ladd/Josi (non-keeper) with Parise for an upgrade on your 5th keeper? Then pick who's left as your 6 guy for this year?

If not, I personally would feel safest going with Ladd here (well Josi, but I trust you know your league and draft tendencies).

I am a believer that Foligno could hit 60 points and wouldn't be shocked if Marleau hit 60 too. But if Foligno only put up 40 and Marleau 45... well I wouldn't be overly shocked either.

Ladd's about as consistent as they come - no 70 point ceiling but a pretty safe floor of 50-55 for next season imo.

I'd go boring but most-predictable with your 6th if you can't upgrade.
