if it has the salary breakdown at the team page level it would be perfect. it only has the salary breakdown at the player level for now.

This is what will make or break these sites IMO. Lots of good candidates out there but how will they handle all of the new deals signed this summer?Looks good.... hopefully they will be on top of updates. Keeping my fingers crossed as well

Hopefully they can build up sources, the way cap geek did. Right now, all the new contracts are listed as max values, with "to be confirmed". But hey - they have to start somewhere.

This looks really solid so far. Looks like they have a lot of what made capgeek great: good information, simple layout, easy to read. I do hope they keep it up to date and add a few features: sortability of teams so you can quickly see who is in cap trouble, a buyout calculator would be great to.

I took a quick look and it looks similar to nhlnumbers and the cap section on hockeybuzz. The draft pick part is different and cool though. I also like that you can separate between RFA and UFA's. Hopefully they are accurate there.
The thing I miss the most from capgeek is the extra tools they offered. Things like the "bargain hunter" feature and the ability to input my own fantasy team into a calculator to name a couple. I realize we can't replace capgeek, and it's too bad. It really was the best.
Hopefully this site grows and tries to recreate capgeek better than the two I mentioned earlier. I appreciate the work they put in to offer salary info to fans. I just wished they cared as much as Matt Wuest did and put the effort into their sites. Maybe this site will.

yea, as others have mentioned, it's pretty much an uglier version of nhlnumbers except it has a free agent section and draft picks listed.
timely updates is going to be the most important thing. creating a buyout calculator or those other tools that capgeek had isn't the most important thing if the site is only going to be updated every couple weeks.
