Do you do anything that is normal male behavior?

    1. I watch some Boxing, not a lot but some, I've been to some small fights live and it was fantastic. I've seen Mayweather's last 3 fights and 2 of Pac's latest 3. I'm pretty excited for this fight. The problem with boxing remains that there are 3 (or 4) organizations that hand out World Championship Belts and all have different weight classes, combine that with different promoters means getting a true best on best is next to impossible. They are past their prime but these are still the best two pound-for-pound fighters boxing today.

    2. I have Mayweather, he's a twerp, a thug, a woman abuser and I assume not a very nice guy but he's the better fighter. If Pac is able to knock him down (not out just down) once I will consider it a major victory. If Pac does somehow beat Mayweather you can guarantee there will be a re-match (I've read it's in the contract but not sure). With a Pac win Mayweather will demand a re-match and Pac will comply, although he may get to set some better terms for himself. If Mayweather wins it will be interesting to see if there is a re-match, assuming its a good fight the re-match will still make big money but it will also be an un-necessary risk to Mayweather's ultimate goal of 50-0

    3. Not surprised that HBO is being so aggressive, and being public about it's intentions. This is going to be the biggest PPV event in history and HBO needs to protect it's investment. They won't be able to stomp out streaming completely (especially of individuals) but stiff enough threats will make more bars go legit and pay for it.

    4. Going to a local bar that I know is showing it.

P.S. Dobber, thanks for breaking down the cost to bars, I knew it was quite a bit more money then the home PPV cost but didn't realize their is an exact formula. That makes sense.

Whatever the outcome, I predict that it will be close (or controversial ) enough to justify a rematch. A rematch is probably the easiest thing to predict coming out of this bout.

They need to keep their focus on this fight. These guys are already past their prime and i'm not sure how receptive a rematch will be.......then again, there isn't much else going on in boxing.

And that's just it. Boxing has nothing going on. Promoters and organizers have seen the numbers generated for this fight and that's why I see a part II. It has nothing to do with the competition level between the two fighters but rather on a flailing business making an obvious cash grab. The athletes as well. These two guys no this fight will be nothing of the spectacle it could have been a few years back, but I think they'll both gladly sign on for a rematch.

Who's watching the fight tonight? It costs 100 bucks for the pay per view in HD where I live, which is more than I want to spend. I may hit a bar which is showing the fight.

I wont be. If it wasn't for this thread I probably wouldn't have even known it was happening. This fight is 5 years to late.

I use the cricfree links quite a lot for a large number of sporting events. I have also used drakulastream.eu as well. You dont really know the quality of the feed until it starts. The good thing is that you will have plenty of time during the undercard to get a good stream and find some backups for if/when they go down. Once the undercard starts, I'll post some feeds with reasonable quality.

    cheers,

    AW

Hoping something good comes up otherwise I'll just skip it. Most things cut out after a few seconds.
