yep that's a good deal, maybe an over-reaction from the other manager on Geno's poor playoffs.

Well it's not like Stamkos has made any noise this post season himself. I agree though, it's a trade I'd make.

Sweet deal for you, man. Basically adding Letang for very low price. Good deal.

Assuming the other guy was just trying to get a little younger by going from Malkin to Stamkos. It's only a few years difference but I see why he did it. But I think it's a good trade for you too, especially adding Letang. Personally I see Malkin and Stamkos as almost the same value: I think Malkin is better but his injuries even things out with Stammer. The addition of Letang is compensation for acquiring the older player in Malkin. Jaskin and Virtanen is a wash.

I guess the other guy was a little bit in panic. There's still a small chance that Letang never plays again. Even if he comes back, one more hit and it can be over. So if he believes he´s done and we ignore the prospects in that deal, it is just Malkin for Stamkos.

Malkin score more points per game while Stamkos is younger and more durable.

So should Letang return and play many more years, it's a big win for you, otherwise it's pretty much a wash.

I honestly would've kept stamkos. Stammer is younger and more durable than both letang and malkin. Plus, the upside of future line mate in Drouin is to enticing. Letang could be one more concussion from calling it quits (god forbid!)

Three straight years Malkin has buggered his owners in the fantasy playoffs. That's why I traded him away last year.
Letang was incredible for about 65 games this year. I own him but I have scaled back my expectations and improved my depth at D. His trade value is very low.
That being said, if they both give you 75 games and arent injured during the playoffs thats a lot of value in owning them. This is an "if" that is trending the wrong way.
Virtanen and Jaskin could turn out as a break even. They both look pretty decent.
Stamkos, IMO, is by far the best player in the deal, but if the Pittsburgh guys can stay in the lineup it can be a win for you.

I think it was the ramblings today that I said that Malkin did that for two years back in 2012...and then when everyone bailed on him he won the scoring title. That's what he can do.

I'm at the point now where I trade Stamkos for Tyler Johnson + some extra stuff for the name, and then watch TJ beat Stammer year after year. I said from Day 1 that Stammer was the product of MSL. I'm not sure what more proof we need!

Well, it'd be good to see Stamkos play with MSL one more year and get 95 points and then play without him again and get 70 points. Then I'd be convinced

But year, back to OP, I'd take Malkin over Stamkos, despite Malkin's injury history.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
