    Default Tim Murray's Obsession

"SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Tim Murray has admitted he has a problem: He's obsessed with Connor McDavid.

"I watch him too much and I think too much about him,” Murray told the New York Times. “I wish I could help myself.”

Murray after Buffalo falls to No.2 in the draft "Welcome to the Buffalo Sabres organization Jack. We couldn't be more excited to have you as a cornerstone and look forward to a bright future.

A bit surprised Murray would say that to the new york times. Sure McDavid is a generational player but man coming off as a creeper when you talk like that. Hopefully he gets the 1st overall pick otherwise he's really going to look bad.

Definitely weird that Murray would say that stuff.

The whole murray family has a great sense of humour and tells it like it is. Just the way they are.

I would almost put money that those comments come back to haunt him. Can you say Jinx?

    Nothing wrong w/a man-crush, and I wholly support Murray's.

Fug...with the first overall in next year's dynasty draft, the playoffs haven't even ended and I already have other GM's asking me what I want for the the pick.

    ...gonna be a long-ass Summer.

The man crush is perfectly fine (Lord knows I've had a few) but admitting it publicly before he is part of your organization to the NY Times is going to make the lottery just that much more interesting.

Erie is like an hr, hr and a half drive away. He prolly goes to every game he can. If Eichel played in Erie and McDavid at Boston, I’m sure murray would still watch Eichel play.

Why is this a big deal? The entire hockey world is obsessed with McDavid right now. No surprises here. Tim Murray just speaks his mind, and that's refreshing.

Certainly makes this a more interesting summer.

I think it would be funny if Buffalo passed Arizona in the standings, and then another team won the lottery. That would mean that after this long season, Buffalo would get the third overall pick. That might be the best argument against tanking.

Writer of the weekly Top 10 column.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko
Defence: Hedman, Fox, Matheson, Thrun, Jiricek
Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid

Who is the highest ranked non-playoff team? LA?

How funny would it be if they landed McDavid.

I'm still sticking with Arizona landing him. They have the 2nd best odds, potentially the best odds if they pass Buffalo. And then you factor in the possibility of the draft being rigged, they would be the team that needs McDavid most. I know there are a bunch of people that think the draft lottery is legit but i just can't believe that until they start airing the actual lottery taking place. I can't think of a reason why they wouldnt do it, except for them not being able to since they rig it.

I still think the Eastern conference would be turned upside down if Philly won the lottery. Dallas winning the lottery would be crazy as well (McDavid-Benn-Seguin on a line for the next 10 years).
