Default First Place - Should I pick up Ehlers for next season?

I am currently in First Place and playoffs start in a few weeks. Is it worth me picking up Ehlers for next season and leaving him on my bench? Lots of teams are beginning to pick up young players and I don't want to miss out on this kid. I got mad when I waited for Nylander and he just got picked up. Team Sig Below:

    -------------
20 Team Franchise Head to Head League. The stats are G, A, P, Plus/Minus, PPP, SHP, PIM, SOG, GWG, Hit, Blocked Shots, Faceoff Won, and Defense Points for players....And for Goalies it's GS, W, L, GA, GAA, Saves, SV%. Minutes Played, SHO.

    Starting Lineup (2 C's, 2 LW, 2 RW, 4 D, 1 Util, and 1 Goalie)

    C - H. Sedin, Malkin
    LW - Parise, Dubinsky
    RW - Perry, Voracek
D - Edler, Karlsson, (Can have 4 starting each night)
    Util - Nyquist

G - Rinne, Andersen (can only start 1 every night)

    Bench - Datsyuk (C), Kuznetsov (C), J. Carter (C/RW), Barkov (C), Pastrnak (LW)

    IR - Shattenkirk, Vatanen

I don't understand why you or other teams would consider this. It does not appear you have a farm system. Do you have a prospect draft or are you just allowed to add any player once they are signed by an NHL team? How is your league going to handle McDavid and Eichel?

To the palyers at hand; I don't expect Ehlers or Nylander to contribute at a fantasy level for another 2-3 years, so I wouldn't bother wasting a roster spot on them, especially if you are in 1st heading into the playoffs. There is no one on your team I would drop for either of them.
