Default Is Giroux/Couture a good return for Crosby?

I literally just got Crosby, but the owner of Giroux/Couture has insinuated he might move them for Sid. Would that be considered a good deal to anyone? League in Sig. Plenty of skater cats.

I might have to include Stepan back in the deal but I wasn't keeping him anyway. Trying to win within the next 3 weeks.

If you're going to trade Crosby in a keeper... you better make sure you hit the motherload.

Giroux/Couture is far from the motherload...

A good return for Crosby is keeping Crosby.

I can't list my 2nd main keeper as there are too many players, but it is a keep all H2H points-only league

No, not enough. Who's keeper spot would Couture take? You're trading Crosby+unnamed player for Giroux+Couture. If you wouldn't keep Stepan, that means the keeper you'd have instead of Couture is better than Stepan. Which means he's not all that much worse than Couture.

Not a good trade at all.

Would prefer Crosby here. And definitely not if Stepan is involved.

OK. OK. Fair enough. The other guys on his roster are Paddy Kane (doesn't help me this year) and Getzlaf.

Two of Giroux/Kane/Getzlaf and now you're getting closer

Getting closer, but in a Keep 7, I'd want them all (while sending two other lesser keepers his way of course). Honestly you're probably better off just holding onto Crosby in the long run. He's the premier own in any keeper, and the fewer keepers your league has, the higher his value rises.

    What he said.

Limited keepers means you trading the best player in the deal is rarely the right choice.

    A good return on Crosby would be 1 top 5 player + 1 top 10 player + a sweetener.

So my dad has a turrrible team. Just needs to acquire depth. He has Crosby in our 16 team league and this other dude is pushing hard. He offered:

Voracek, JVR, Rinne for Crosby, Drouin, Hutchinson.

Obviously we are going to negotiate. I thought Voracek, Galchenyuk, Rinne for Crosby, Boyes, Hutchinson was semi decent. Other dude has Malkin (assuming he wants to pair), Toews, Kesler, Seabrook, Carter Schenn...
