Trade Kessel before playoffs?

I'm all in for the championship this year and having my best season yet. Unfortunately, past seasons have seen me fallen short and never take home the title. Historically, I've been the best team to never win our league quite consistently.

That said: Should I try to move Kessel? He's been awful in real life and in fantasy he has been irrelevant (literally putting up 0 ppg). He has a mini "streak" going so maybe I move him. I see no end in sight and he has nothing to play for.

Not sure if this will help or not, but for what it's worth, I bailed on Kessel this year. I'm in a points only league that is heavy on PPG, GWG and SHG. Kessel had a pretty decent showing for me in the first half of the season. And I wish I woulda taken a trade offer I had right after the draft. I traded Kessel a few days ago, in a package deal, that returned Marleau and Sharp for me. I'm not sure if it's a good move or not, but it's done. I'm happy to have two players on strong, playoff caliber teams and not have to be frustrated that my first overall pick is not scoring goals...

I think if you can con someone in for a trade, do it.

I just traded him in a league where we only keep 7 because I'm in 1st place too. He was dragging me down.

I know! I was 10th overall in a league that scores heavy on goals (PPG, GWG, SHG).
